Bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library (CHORI) was used to obtain a BAC (#RP23-6m17) containing the entire mouse zeta-chain (TCR) associated protein kinase (Zap70) gene. A point mutation was introduced in exon 8, resulting in the substitution of a methionine for an alanine (M413A). (J:167326)
