Using VelociGene technology, most of the coding sequence (including exons 3 through 13) was replaced with a transmembrane domain lacZ and floxed neo cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. The absence of transcript expression was confirmed by northern blot analysis on embryo extracts. (J:102090, J:169064)
