A 0.3 kb fragment including the 157 bp exon 3 was replaced by a loxP-flanked neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Deletion of exon 3 was confirmed by Southern blot. Immunoblot analysis from lungs confirmed the absence of protein. (J:168304)
