A neo cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 10, and an additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 11. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 10 and 11. The absence of transcript expression was coonfirmed by western blot analysis on forebrain and cerebellum extracts. (J:167891)
