Two loxP sites were inserted flanking the coding sequence of exon 9 which contains the whole ETS DNA binding and C-terminal domains. This was followed by an FRT flanked neomycin resistance cassette. The selection cassette was subsequenty excised by transient flp expression. Exon 9 was then excised in the germline by cre expression. (J:167426)
