Two loxP sites flanking exon 2 and a neomycin-resistance gene flanked by flippase recognition sites following it are inserted by targeted homologous recombination. The neomycin cassette was removed by crossing chimeric mice with Flippase transgenic mice. This is a conditional allele. (J:162326)
