A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of exon 1 and an additional loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1. After transient cre-expression cells were selected for elimination of the selectable marker cassettes but maintenance of loxP-flanked exon 1. (J:131287, J:164687)
