The targeting vector is designed to insert one loxP site in intron 2 (481 bp 5' of the start codon), an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette in exon 8, followed by a loxP site (221 bp 3' of the stop codon). Cre-mediated recombination removed the targeted sequence. (J:222253)
