A lacZ gene and floxed neo cassette were inserted just after the codon 11 in exon 2 replacing part of exon 2 and all of intron 3 and exon 3 via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. RT-PCR analysis confirmed the absence of expression in homozygous embryos. (J:164805)
