Exon 2 was replaced with a floxed neo cassette via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. RT-PCR analysis confirmed the absence of the IIA transcript and continued expression of the IIB transcript in E9.5 homozygous embryos. This is an isoform specific knock-out. (J:163739)
