A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. The coding region was replaced with a cDNA of the rat homolog, a floxed and FRT flanked neo cassette, and an IRES-EGFP-pA cassette. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette leaving the the rat cDNA floxed and the reporter cassette intact. (J:162692)
