RTIbac clone 240G15 contains an insert of 168 kb inserted in the pBeloBAC11 vector. The sequence corresponds to nucleotides 162144322 to 162282008 of rat chromosome 5 and contains the rat podoplanin gene. An IRES-GFP sequence was placed in the 3'UTR. The resulting transgene directs expression of both rat podoplanin and GFP. Two stable founders were identified showing similar expression levels. One line was used for further study. (J:152132)
