The beta actin promoter is used to drive expression of either GFP or luciferase. The floxed GFP contains a polyadenylation sequence and is located upstream of the luciferase construct which also contains a polyadenylation sequence. Luciferase is not expressed until GFP is excised by cre. (J:86565)
