Exon 1 of Hoxb8 was replaced with cre fused to a mutated estrogen receptor followed by an FRT-flanked neo selection cassette. The neo was subsequently removed by breeding to FLPe deleter animals. In homozygous mice, the allele acts as a null allele for Hoxb8. (J:162102)
