This transgene consists of a mouse transthyretin (Ttr) minigene , which includes 3 kb of the Ttr promoter, the first and second exons of the Ttr gene, resistin (Retn) cDNA bearing the biologically active flag epitope at the 3' end and a polyA tail. Overexpression and quantification of Retn in white adipose tissue and liver was verified by northern blot, immunoblot (western) and radioimmunoassay. (J:91890)
