A floxed and FRT flanked neomycin resistance cassette was inserted in intron 1 and a third loxP site was introduced into intron 2. The neomycin cassette was removed using a beta-Actin driven Flp recombinase leaving a residual FRT site and exon 2 flanked by loxP sites. (J:160900)
