An frt flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette was inserted upstream of exon 2 and exon 2 was floxed via homologous recombination. Cre-mediated recombination then removed exon 2 and Flp recombinase was used to delete the neomycin selection cassette. (J:152701)
