The transgene construct consisted of the 2.1 kb murine Tek (Tie2) promoter fragment and a 10.5 kb fragment of exon 1 containing an enhancer sequence ligated to the cre cDNA and hGH polyA signal sequence. This linearized construct (15.9 kb) was microinjected into pronuclei of fertilized Kunming oocytes. 6 transgenic founders were obtained; however, no line numbers were specified for founders.
