A targeting vector was designed to place two loxP sites in tandem orientation to flank a 2355 bp fragment in the the region beginning 1106 bp upstream of the start codon, including 1081 bp of the coding sequence and ending 171 bp downstream of the stop codon. The vector also contained an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette. The neo cassette was removed by crossing to Tg(ACTFLPe)9205Dym mice. (J:94077)
