A transgenic vector with the cre recombinase sequence, a nuclear localization signal and a polyA sequence driven by 7.1 kb 5' untranslated region upstream of the single protein-coding exon of Fzd9 was used to generated transgenic mice. Three founders were obtained, with one line exhibiting cre protein expression patterns in the developing forebrain that mimic endogenous Fzd9 protein expression. (J:160192)
