The targeting vector contains a loxP-flanked neomycin cassette inserted in intron 2 and a loxP site flanking exon 2. Mice were crossed with mice carrying Tg(EIIa-cre) to remove the neo cassette leaving two loxP sites flanking exon 2. (J:160208)
