The SV40 T antigen gene was placed under the control of the luteinizing hormone beta subunit gene (Lhb). One out of 15 lines produced developed bilateral ocular neoplasms. Marginally detectable mRNA for T antigen was found in the pituitary and considerably higher levels were found in the eye. No T antigen mRNA was detected in any other tissue. (J:10320)
