A vector composed of an IRES element, beta-gal, and a neomycin selection cassette was inserted between the XhoI restriction site near the 5' end of exon 2 and the BamHI site near the 3' end of the same exon. Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed that all three isoforms are not expressed. (J:159352)
