A luciferase coding sequence with an SV40 3' UTR and a floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of the translation initiation site, replacing the fisrt 4 coding exons. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on embryonic fibroblast extracts. (J:158934)
