Cre mediated recombination removed exons 3 through 8 of a MICER clone with a K14-Agouti gene, 3'Hprt, loxP site, and puro cassette inserted downstream of a duplicated exons 1 and 2 and a neo cassette, loxP site, 5'Hprt, and tyrosinase gene inserted downstream of exon 8. The absence of transcript expression was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis on hippocampus and cortex extracts. (J:158715)
