Exon 1 and 2 were deleted and replaced with a floxed neomycin cassette. The selection cassette was removed by cre mediated recombination. RNA and protein absence were confirmed by northern and western blotting, respectively. Absence of expression did not alter the stability of its binding partners, NFATC1, NFATC2, and NFATC3 (J:157559)
