Exon 4 was floxed and an frt flanked neo cassette was inserted in intron 4 via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination then removed exon 4. RT-PCR and western blot analysis confirmed the absence of RNA and protein expression in brains from homozygous mice. (J:156530)
