A floxed neo cassette containing neomycin resistance and thymidine kinase genes was inserted upstream of exon 5 and a loxp site was inserted downstream of exon 6. Transient cre expression in ES cells removed the neo cassette leaving exons 5 and 6 floxed (J:109634)
