A loxP site was inserted 300 bp upstream of exon 2 and a floxed hygromycin (Hph) antibiotic-resistance marker was inserted 50 bp downstream of exon 4. Cre mediated recombination removed the Hph cassette leaving exons 2 through 4 floxed. (J:155421)
