Three enhancers between the Alb and Afp genes were replaced with a loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Early transcript expression of Alb and Afp is reduced, as confirmed by whole mount in situ hybridization on E10.5 embryos. (J:154917)
