The CAG promoter drives expression of EGFP preceded by a floxed neo and STOP cassette and a second frt flanked STOP cassette. In this allele, germ line, flp mediated recombination removes the second STOP cassette leaving a single FRT site. Removal of the first neo/STOP cassette is required to achieve EGFP expression.
