A CAG promoter drives expression of an EGFP/tetanus toxin light chain (tetX) fusion preceded by a floxed STOP signal and an frt flanked mCherry and STOP signal. Cre mediated removal of the first STOP signal is required for expression of mCherry. Cre and Frt mediated recombination are required to remove both STOP signals to allow for expression of the EGFP/tetX fusion. (J:154944)
