A loxP site was inserted upstream of the exon encoding the first extracellular domain (exon 4). A floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of the exon encoding the transmembrane domain (exon 5). Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and left exons 4 and 5 floxed. (J:179175)
