The GATA binding protein 4 (Gata4) sequence driven by myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha (Myh6 or alpha-MHC) promoter/enhancer elements. One founder with 15-20 transgenic insertions died within 4 weeks of severe cardiomyopathy. This line was derived from a founder with only 1-3 insertions. Gata4 expression in the heart was increased 2.5 fold. (J:128831)
