A gene trap vector consisting of long terminal repeats flanking a construct with pairs of FRT, F3, loxP and lox5171 sites surrounding a splice acceptor-neo-polyA cassette was inserted in intron 2. qRT-PCR analysis indicates that mRNA is diminished by 80-90% in homozygotes, indicating this is a strong hypomorphic allele.
