A loxP site was inserted upstream of the coding region and a floxed neo cassette was inserted downstream of the coding exon. Germ line, cre mediated recombination removes the neo cassette and coding exon. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on heart extracts. (J:152774)
