A construct containing the CAGGS promoter driving expression of a loxP-flanked EGFP with a polyA STOP sequence, followed by the coding sequence of the Pax6-5a isoform and an IRES-lacZ-polyA cassette was used to generate the mouse line. When these mice are crossed to a cre recombinase-expressing line, the STOP-EGFP sequence is excised, allowing expression of Pax6-5a and lacZ. (J:135032)
