Murine Ccdc86 coding sequence was inserted into the VA-hCD2 expression vector and the resulting transgene was injected into the pronuclei of fertilized eggs. mRNA and protein expression was confirmed by RT-PCR and immunoblot analysis of splenocytes. Expression level of the transgene product was 1.7 and 1.49 fold greater than endogenous protein in CD4+ or CD8+ T cells. The n-terminus of the protein product is tagged by an HA epitope tag.
