An EGFP cassette and a neomycin resistance gene were placed immediately downstream of ATG start site located in exon 1 of the gene. Correct targeting was confirmed by Southern blotting. Activated lymphocytes from heterozygote mice had 3-fold reduced levels of endogenous gene product compared to controls as determined by quantitative PCR. (J:151722)
