Founder mice derived from BALB/c ES cells carrying the Ifnb1tm1.2Lien mutation were crossed with K14-cre transgenic mice to remove the coding exon from the germline and bring the reporter construct under the control of the endogenous promoter. Reporter expression was detected in numerous tissues after viral infection. (J:151854)
