The gene trap cassette inserted into intron 4. RT-PCR analysis showed that the mutation eliminated normal mRNA expression of all four known isoforms of the gene. A fusion protein consisting of the first 28 amino acids fused to beta-GEO is expressed from this allele. No wild-type protein is detectable in immunostaining experiments. (J:252982)
