A gene trap vector inserted between exons 8 and 9. Northern blot analysis of liver RNA derived from homozygous mice showed that no detectable transcript is expressed from this allele. Western blot analysis on kidney lysates from homozygous mice showed that no detecable encoded protein was present. (J:226734)
