A gene trap vector containing a splice-acceptor sequence upstream of beta-geo (a fusion of beta-galactosidase and neomycin phosphotransferase II) was introduced to intron 2 of the gene, resulting in premature termination of the protein before the AT-rich interactive domain (ARID). Western blot analysis using an antibody against the C terminus shows that full-length protein is undetectable. (J:218960)
