The RIKEN cDNA 1700040I03 gene consists of 5 exons. Retroviral insertion disrupted the gene in the intron between coding exons 1 and 2 (NCBI Accession AK006658). RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcript was absent in spleen and reduced in kidney in the homozygous mutant mice. (J:171883)
