Insertion of the trapping vector into the first intron resulted in the generation of a truncated transcript lacking exons 2 through 9. Loss of mRNA expression was demonstrated in various tissues on mRNA level by real-time PCR and protein expression in mouse brain by combined immunoprecipitation/immunoblotting experiments. (J:216743)
