A gene trap vector (pGT0Lxf) composed of a splice acceptor site (SA), a beta-galactosidase-neomycin fusion protein (b-geo) and a polyA tail (pA) was inserted into intron 2. Quantification of protein levels showed that the knockout is incomplete leading to an 84% reduction in protein levels. (J:221848)
