The gene trap cassette inserted between exons 2 and 3 and created a 14 bp deletion at the insertion site. In heterozygous mice reporter expression is seen in heart, kidney, and skeletal muscle. Analysis confirmed the absence of wild-type transcripts in hearts from 12 week old homozygous mice. (J:311513)
