The gene trap inserted into exon 1 (encoding 34 amino acids and lacking the ER-targeting TM segment), and fused the gene encoding beta-Galactosidase to the endogenous sequence. Analysis of protein expression in mouse spleen tissue extracted from homozygous mice confirmed the absence of the encoded protein expression by immunoblot analysis. (J:183788)
