Trapped gene association determined by genome coordinate overlap and strand. Gene trap insertion is in intron 8 and resuls in disruption of the catalytic domain encoded be exons 2-12. Q-PCR demonstrated the absence of specific mRNA in homozygotes and Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein. (J:179810)
