Trapped gene association determined by genome coordinate overlap and strand. The gene trap vector inserted in the third intron, resulting in the production of a fusion transcript encoding the first 137 amino acid residues of L2hgdh followed by beta-geo. qPCR indicates low but detectable levels of transcripts indicating that the polyadenylation signal in the inactivation cassette is leaky. In addition, a small amount of readthrough transcript is synthesized and spliced as wild-type RNA. (J:228407)
